JOB DESCRIPTION
Sensor Signal Path is seeking a Silicon & Systems Validation engineer to join their growing team. The prospective candidate will work on exciting, new and breakthrough technologies. The individual will be responsible for the silicon and system validation plan, hardware development and execution. Job requirements include validation of all silicon parameters, development of both silicon and system level test plans to validate feature functionality and product stability, including a 'Break The Part' or Road Test plan. For issue(s) that are reported, you will be part of the team that drives the issue(s) to closure. This is a critical role, providing accurate information that feeds into SSP's datasheet and application notes, consistent with customer's needs in the industrial, commercial and automotive markets.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
o Lead in meetings with Application, Design, Test & Marketing to create silicon and systems validation strategy and test plan of sensor products based on product specification and end customer typical application usage
o Develop silicon and system level validation test plans and strategies to validate design margins and feature sets
o Design and develop validation board used with automated lab equipment
o Drive automation process (test automation, data collection, reporting, analysis) to improve productivity, efficient data analysis and debug
o Work closely with supporting teams in design, diagnostics, BIOS, driver, system engineering, and platform team to ensure readiness of silicon feature for validation purpose.
o Leveraging various post-silicon lab platforms to validate that a chip work robustly in the customer's system
o Drives bug tracking efforts for the validation phase of the project
o Write reports on validation results and provide future bench automation improvements
QUALIFICATIONS
o BSEE/MSEE or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years' experience in test development.
o Strong technical writing and communication skills
o Solid understanding of analog and mixed-signal circuits
o Proven product engineering track records
o Strong technical leadership
o Cross-functional collaboration skills to work with design, verification, test, char, apps etc.
o Responsible for the overall validation effort from front-to-back
Additional Preferred
Qualifications:
o Proficiency with bench level test equipment (DC power supplies, oscilloscopes, multi-meters)
o Background in circuit test, data analysis and troubleshooting
o Test Automation expertise with National Instruments Labview/Teststand
