Position overview
Job Function:
o Develop next generation system architecture, spec for high speed (25GHz+) wireline communications chipset development
o Develop high freq (25GHz+) performance/conformance simulation environment
o Modeling and simulations to study and analyze system performance
o Develop new algorithms to improve performance of various aspects of the solution
o Develop simulations to quantify/predict the performance of proposed algorithms
o Work with Design, Firmware engineers to implement and test proposed algorithms
o Analyze lab data to optimize algorithms and algorithm settings
o Work closely with analog designers on functional modeling of device non-idealities and channel impairments
o Work closely with analog and digital designers to design, simulate, implement and verify enhancements
Job requirements
Preferred Skills/Experience:
o Experience in high speed comm systems design
o Good understanding of signal processing, experience in channel impairment, modeling
o Experience in coding with C/C++/MATLAB, in revision control environment
o Experience working with analog and mixed signal designers
o Hands on experience with high freq measurement, lab equipment
o Strong foundation in physical layer functionality for wired comm systems.
o Familiarity with common analog impairments typically encountered in data communications systems
o Familiarity with high level scripting languages such as python.
o Experience with designs reaching volume production is highly desirable.
o Experience with industry standards for wireline communications, such as 10G Enet, PCIe, Infiniband etc
o Theoretical grounding in physical layer algorithms and their implementation for digital communications systems.
o Ability to work independently on challenging technical problems
o MS in EE/ECE with 5+ years or Ph.D. with 3+ years of experience in design and implementation of Communications Systems

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
